The recent responses on SFS are definitely disappointing. This change in tone is a departure from the generally positive reaction that your contributions to the forum have typically received, Deadheart. As with most Intactivist rhetoric, I suspect that they are the words of a small, but very vocal minority.
I think that there are a few lessons that can be taken from these exchanges, however. I don't think that there's any advantage to that sort of partisan approach to dialogue. Let's be honest, the whole conversation regarding circumcision preference is a bit of an ego-stroking fantasy game (mind you, one that I thoroughly enjoy observing). Realistically, none of us are likely to ever compete for a woman, or even the same group of women. And if there is one thing that this compilation has validated, it's that there is no shortage of women that prefer both cut and uncut, so I don't think that there's any need for anybody to get bent out of shape over it (although Dakota Sky, Mika Tan and Jezabel Vessir have officially broken my heart).
My point being, I suppose, that I strongly prefer that personal attacks not take place within this forum. I really don't care if any of you are intact, and I think that you're entitled to every bit of body positivity that I am. I've designed this forum to appeal to straight men that are proud to be circumcised and straight women that make cut guys feel proud. This is partially why I've avoided the uncut humiliation media and discussions that you can find on SFS, FetLife, etc. That said, I'm more than happy to welcome anybody that falls outside of these demographics so long as they're respectful of others though. I look at this forum as belonging to anybody that wants to contribute. I just want to facilitate the exchanges that you've been wanting to have.
I hope that this didn't come off as paternalistic, because I have thus far been delighted by the good nature and sense of humor expressed within this forum. Thank you, and please keep it up!
