Celebrity Preferences

Postby Frecklover » Wed Feb 03, 2016 5:44 am

Hello,
I'm always pleased when a celebrity states a preference for circumcision, always good PR for the pro-circumcision camp. If they are gorgeous and sexy too, all the better. I know of quite a few who have done so and I love them for it...... it would be good to start a list of who's, wheres, whens and whys?

I can definitely do this. I know there's been a discussion on FetLIfe regarding this topic, so I'll see what I can do to import that list here. I feel like porn stars should be a totally different category than other celebrities. As far as mainstream celebrities go, I've only seen a couple of reliable references. Amy Schumer, Azealia Banks and Olivia Munn have been pretty clear about it, and Madonna and Rihanna have hinted at it. Any other sources I should be checking out?

Yes Rihanna said she wanted "a big cut xxxx for Christmas" in an interview for American Elle magazine in 2014. I've seen interviews with Christina Aguilera and Taryn Manning too where they have expressed a preference for circumcised men (though I don't remember the sources), and Christina had a Jewish bris for her son which was well reported in the press at the time. It's rumoured that Taylor Swift asked Harry Styles to get circumcised for her, and that they broke up when he refused. It's widely reported that Michelle Pfeiffer, Jenny Mollen, Sharon Stone, Jenny McCarthy (wrote about it in her baby book, wanted her son to have a pretty penis!), Cindy Crawford, Sandra Bullock, Madonna, Britney Spears, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, and Carla Bruni (who had her sons circumcised and baptised to reflect their diverse religious background.... best of both worlds!) all had their sons circumcised too. Olivia Munn, Iliza Schlesinger and Chelsea Handler are big pro-circ supporters (all gorgeous) and regularly say so. I have seen pro-circ tweets from Azelia Banks and cute British actress Adele Silva, and I love that super sexy British Porn star Emma Leigh is also a huge fan of circumcised cocks, confirmed recently on twitter. Charlize Theron and Debra Messing are big supporters of the circumcision programme in Africa, and it's very likely that Debra's son had a bris.
I've read that Alicia Silverstone decided not to circumcise her son, controversially as she is Jewish, and that Cameron Diaz spoke out against infant circumcision in an interview on US TV, but they seem to be the exceptions to the rule in Hollywood!
Anyone know of any other female celebs who have expressed a preference either way?

^ Excellent information Frecklover. I knew about some of those, but admittedly I'm not too immersed into celebrity culture. But one name I noticed you didn't include is Nicole Richie, she has said "The one thing I always look for in a guy is for them to be circumcised." Another one who is Jewish and had a bris for her son is Natalie Portman. If they are Jewish then circumcision is a must, but like you said there are exceptions to the rule. Truthfully, most people (in the US at least) have their boys circumcised regardless of religion so its a moot point. That is why European women intrigue me much more when it comes to this subject, coupled with my personal experiences with European women.

I definitely appreciate these contributions, although I have a few comments. First, although the decision to get a son circumcised indicates a preference, I don't think that it's anywhere near on par with actual statements expressing preference explicitly. Also, be careful about your sources: the Taylor Swift-Harry Stiles rumor comes from the National Enquirer, which I can't say I really respect as a reliable source. On that note, if you're able to, could you post links to what sources you do have? Sorry again (in addition to my comments on Deadheart's post) to be so anal retentive about it. I have a background in science and academia, so I've been forced to go through years of being taught that if I can't provide my citations, it probably isn't true.

Hi,
Gemit, most of my info has been gathered over a few years and I don't really remember the sources for all of them, but google them (name + circumcised) and most will come up. I'm aware that the Harry Styles/ Taylor Swift one was just a rumour, and therefore stated that it was, but I felt it was worth mentioning.... there's no smoke without fire! (Really hope it's true, though!)
Deadheart, yes I knew about Nicole Ritchie, just forgot to include her. I remember that there was lots of speculation that there was going to be a bris at Natalie Portman's son's naming ceremony, but I never saw that this was confirmed. Her husband was going to convert for her too, (French, so probably not birth circumcised.... I wonder if he had a circumcision too?) Natalie is gorgeous! Who wouldn't get circumcised for her!
I've always been intrigued when Hollywood actresses pair up with British / European men...... Gwyneth Paltrow, Liv Tyler, Jennifer Connelly, Madonna (had Guy Ritchie circumcised), Kristen Stewart, etc...... how many of those guys undergo circumcision for their women?
I agree that when a European woman has a strong preference for circumcised men it's much more intriguing, because they are less likely to encounter them, won't necessarily expect to find them everytime..... they have to seek them out, which is great!

yes i've always thought that since such a large amount of american celebrities (male and female both) date or marry or at least hook up with celebrities of other backgrounds there must be a lot of acknowledgement of the difference in their circles. it intrigues me when an american woman is with a foreign man (presumably uncircumcised) and also when an american man is with a foreign woman (presumably he is cut and she is unused to that)

unfortunately we only have speculation to go on with most of them, but the topic must be something that many celebrities have at least thought about, given their dating histories

Gwyneth Paltrow is the one that really fascinates me. She's been quotes as saying she wanted to raise her children Jewish, but she's also very earth mother, as nature intended. I'm leaning toward that she didn't get her son circumcised but I'd really love to know.

Years ago I saw a photo of once upon supermodel and ex mrs Rod Stewart, Rachel Hunter, standing on a beach with her toddler son who was peeing into the water. He was definitely circumcised. I don't make a habit of checking out small children, but the photo was in a woman's mag - definitely cut (and I've never seen a stream of pee that straight coming through a boy's foreskin).

The stunning French tv host Melissa Theuriau is married to a muslim and had her son circumcised.

Yes, Gwyneth fascinates me too...... let's hope she chose to go kosher!! As for Rachel Hunter.... well I read that Rod is cut, so maybe he had a say..... circ used to be quite common in New Zealand, where Rachel is from, but is less common now sadly, as it is in Australia, although I understand there are enclaves there where the rates are still high..... Queensland and "The Shire" around Sydney I'm told...
I'd love to know which other Jewish Hollywood celebs are in favour of circ...... I read Alicia Silverstone didn't do it for her son, but I wonder what the likes of Mila Kunis, Nathalie Portman, Alyson Hannigan, Scarlett Johannsson, Alison Brie etc think of a traditional bris? Christina Aguilera and Naomi Watts had their sons done.... they are not Jewish but their husbands are!!

Natalie Portman almost certainly had her son done. She is said to have insisted on her French ballet dancer husband getting circumcised before she married him.
